It is difficult to say, you may have to experiment with the different over the counter thrush cream and prescription creams available.

Canesten is a well known thrush cream for treating a yeast infection. Canesten is made by Bayer and it is available in 1% strength and 2% strength. The stonger version can be on prescription in some countries while the 1% thrush cream is usually over the counter.

Daktacort is also a well known cream for thrush treatment, with a good success rate for treating and getting rid of thrush.

There are also vaginal tablets (pessaries) like Canesten and Diflucan.

Natural cures for thrush

Getting rid of thrush can also be accomplished with natural cures and thrush treatment like using yogurt (yoghurt), applied inside the vagina (you have to be inventive there - a syringe will do but there are other ideas as well).

When the yogurt is applied in the vagina, it will alter the pH and acidity to a hostile level for yeast (this is totally harmless for us, it will only affect and get rid of thrush).
